Recently I've noticed a display below my category selection showing where the item will be displayed in Search. Below is what they had listed for my very feminine teardrop earrings, which are also tagged as being for "Women." What on earth would make them suitable "Gifts for Husband/Dad/Brother/Boyfriend" - or as "Housewarming Gifts"?!? I mean, seriously Etsy? Nor can they be personalized, so I don't know why that's there either. This explains so much about why we, as buyers, so frequently get frustrated by what shows up in our searches for a very specific thing. It's one thing to suggest different categories; it's another to put them in categories they never belonged in. It would be fine if they were modifiable and we could just unselect the inappropriate categories, but that's not an option.
