Hi All! I need some advice. I got a message yesterday, via Etsy messaging, from a previous buyer saying she never received her order. It came through her order string, so I didn't think much about it. Given the season, and my experience with online orders, I understand that orders do get lost. So after checking the tracking and yes, it looks like it's been just sitting at the post office for the last two weeks, I asked if she'd like a refund or for me to resend the order. She agreed for me to resend the order. No big deal. Then, and here's the rest of the story, she messaged me again this morning saying she is having the same issue with another order. I do not have another order with her name on it, so I asked her to send me the order number. She sent me "both" order numbers and neither of them are the first order in question, nor any order in my history.
Could she just be confusing me with another shop she ordered from, or could someone else be in her account sending me these messages? And, do I respond by telling her that the order numbers are not from my shop? Any help would be great!!
Thanks!!
UPDATE... after messaging "them" back saying the order numbers were not from my shop, "they" just messaged me back saying "I'm all good thank you." What does that even mean?
You could either take that as "I'm good" or "I only need the first order replaced". I might reply OK great. I assume you mean everything from me arrived?" and leave it at that. If not she can clear that up. If she didn't get it and wants to open a case she can. Or you can replace, The issue with "flat" tracking is it is not great. It could totally have already been delivered and still just say in transit. It is not USPS tracking but Pitney Bowes tracking which is not the same thing at all.
It sounds like she may have received the package. Either way, if she is good, let it go.
it sounds like she figured everything out!
i would message back and say:
that is great news! i hope you love everything that you ordered... happy holidays!
and then let it go.
