Scam alert

Hello everyone, 

I received this unusual message on my inbox from a potential buyer and this photo came up. I googled it and it says it's a scam. I actually followed the steps on the QR code and had to call my bank to cancel my card on file. It's a good thing I googled it right after I did it because it didn't feel right. Attached is the the link from the QR code that the scammer sent me.

Yes, this is a known scam. Sorry you were caught up in it. Can you please remove the link in your post, so that no one clicks on it?

This scam is rife!  Well done for spotting it, many have lost a lot of money. 

Never just click on any link or QR code in a message.  Always log in to your account to see if there is any genuine activity. 

The scammers might also write to you saying they need your email address to purchase or others saying they are Etsy support.

Be very vigilant!

It pays to pay attention. Help-activate-shop.com is not etsy.com. Thus, a scam.
