Sales stopped

Wondered what happened to my sales 2 years ago was doing $7500 every 30 days, big drop over last few years with more competition.

Most all (90%) are competition from China. On other selling platforms they even show their factories where their stuff is made.

Today I notice all my listings are in Pounds and that I am a United Kingdom seller. I accept US dollar and I live in Kentucky UNTITED STATES.

SO WONDER HOW THIS WAS CHANGED?

I'm in the US and see everything in your shop in USD and your location shows as Kentucky. What you see for currency and shipping location are user specific meaning you set that not etsy. Double check that your currency and location are still set to USD and US. If you scroll all the way to the very bottom of a page on etsy (not here in the forums) you should see location and currency info. It's on the left very bottom. If that's still set at US and USD then the other place to check is on an individual listing in another shop and see what it's showing for the shipping info bit of the listing. If it says shipping to the UK then you need to change it there. Click it and correct the location info there and it should update everything.

Re: sales stopping- Etsy has done something to search with listings that may be adult themed. It started some time last year I think. It's hard to explain but many of us are experiencing a drop in search for some specific listings. I sell adult humor stuff and some of it BDSM themed. The vast majority of those items have basically been removed from search. Even something as simple as a hoodie that just says kitten on it with an image of a lock. Super tame by most BDSM standards but it wont be found in search with a basic search. Hard to explain. I'll see if I can find one of the other threads about the issue that may explain it better. My guess is that's what's going on with your shop. Easy way to check is to go to your shop front page and search for something that should yield results. Like a single word. You may find it shows no results or just 1 or 2 when it should show dozens etc. Example- search in the search bar in your shop front page for the word cuffs. I get 1 single result when I see multiple listings for cuffs or with the word cuffs in title.

Found one of the threads here https://community.etsy.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Several-shops-have-this-search-indexing-error/td-p/14...

There are others but that's the most recent I remember.

Re: Sales stopped

It is most likely related to Etsy's new (secret) rules about mature listings.

See a similar situation here:

Re: Sales stopped

2 years ago the world was in lockdown. You cannot make judgements on how you did when the shops were closed and people that don't normally shop online had no other option.

@secretsbdsmgear If your sales are down consider your own website, but keep the leather belt shop open.
