Sales notification on dashboard but no orders

Hi,
On my seller dashboard it shows that I have a sale, but there is no order in my Orders section and none of my listings are marked as sold. I also didn’t receive any notification or email. It seems like a technical glitch. Has anyone else experienced this?

The payment is probably still processing. First orders take longer to process.

Are you sure it is a sale? I got excited to see the red dot against my shop icon only to find it was the Etsy search visibility reminder.

Hopefully that turned out to be a legitimate sale, but scammers do tend to target new shops.

If you receive an actual order, you will see it in your "Orders and Shipping" section and you will receive an email from Etsy notifying you that you have a sale, and there will be a notification in your dashboard as well.

It's possible it's a fraudulent order - they don't finish processing; so even though you might see a 1 under orders, you will never get the actual order details. Scammers target new shops in an effort to trick you into giving them your credit card details via links in Etsy messages (and sometimes via direct emails). Genuine messages from Etsy will appear in the 'From Etsy' section as well as the main message on Etsy.I

It's also possible it's a real order but is having problems processing due to some issue with the payment method. If this is the case there's nothing you can do as a seller. The buyer would need to use a different payment method or contact support Etsy themselves.

Your payment methods look ok so I don't think it's an issue with your shop.
