I have an issue of sales not being able to process in my shop. I’ve had four different people reach out to me in the past week that their purchases are not processing. The error is: “Oh dear. There was a problem submitting
your order. Please give it another shot. If you continue to have problems, please contact support”. They all tried using different payment methods or using different addresses and also hit the Contact Support link. Etsy Support directed them to have the Seller (Me) contact them (Support). I’m on day two of contacting them and they direct me to have the Buyer contact them. It’s a vicious circle and in the mean time no sales are processing. Anyone have thought, ideas?
@POLLYalaMODE Hi, I hope no one is saying they need your email to make a purchase (you didn't say that's happening, but if it is, it's a scam). When you say they all used different payment methods, I don't understand; all payments go thru Etsy Payments. I also don't understand when you say they used different addresses. A Buyer's address on their account should be the same as their Ship To address, so that there is no discrepancies.
I think the best thing for you to do is contact Support. In your Seller Dashboard, Community and Help (Left Column) > Contact.

Hi I mentioned the payments because when I contacted Etsy Support she mentioned it “Because you accept multiple payment methods that could be an issue”. I responded that the payment options are from Etsy, not me. One of the people who reached out to me tried multiple credit cards but none would process. But yes, I have contacted Etsy Support twice.
