There is an error in my shipping calculations - an order made on a Sunday night that was shipped Tuesday morning. One business day to ship.
How do I correct this?
@PeacefulSeaTreasures: When you look at a new order, there is a "Ship By" date - that is determined by the processing time YOU set and what Etsy uses to determine if an order has shipped on time or late.
Your day to ship would be Monday as you received the order on Sunday if you have one day to ship. If you shipped on Tuesday then you were late in shipping.
Or are you saying you shipped on Monday but the stats are showing Tuesday which means a day late.
Weekends don't count for shipping. So an order Friday, Saturday or Sunday with 1 day shipping would ship on Monday.
Monday would be one day not Tuesday.
An order received on a Sunday is counted as being received on Sunday. The next business day is the next day, Monday. If you shipped Tuesday you were late. If the Monday was a holiday, Etsy doesn't discount holidays, if you know there is a holiday coming up you need to extend the ship by date on any orders due to ship that day.
You are making a rod for your own back by setting 1 day shipping. Every time there is a holiday, or you are unwell, or your car won't start, you have a problem. Make it 1-3 days and still ship next day regardless. Then when the worst happens, it is not a disaster.
I ship in one business day. Sunday night orders are often shipped after Saturday orders and go out Tuesday -giving us one day to package. I've always shipped that way. I don't get it, but guess I better change my shipping profiles

I guess Etsy has decided that one of these answers is a solution. I've just found three past orders from Sunday night that were shipped Tuesday and not counted as late. Our mail pickup is the morning, Postal carriers first stop so we can't come into the workshop and get something packed in such short time. Never been considered late before. Oh Well. Changed profiles to add a day. The messages from Etsy that are auto generated say that people are more likely to buy if shipped in one business day.
Not shipping as much as last year as we are up against made-in-china but listed as "handmade" items . Can't compete. Hoping to find another platform to sell on. Just not making any money here. Luckily local sales are our main source of income. We considered moving completely to online, but it's clear the competition buying from china and selling as homemade, mean prices can't be beat.
