I am meeting all the star seller requirements: On-time shipping, multiple sales and orders, and 5-star ratings. There is a problem with a requirement. The speed of response to messages. I always answer messages super fast to all my clients. I am connected 24 hours a day, however there is a problem in my rating since 2 responses that are from scammers penalize me for not having responded to them within 24 hours. The scammers were posing as ETSY and it is unfair that they penalized me for my perfect score. I sent them to spam but they penalized me anyway. I would like the score to be reviewed. both users impersonate ETSY and are clearly scammers. I'm trying to do everything right and it's a shame that because of these types of issues my perfect score is lost. Thank you
If you download your message history from the star seller page, and it shows that all messages have been replied to within 24 hours it should be fine.
The messages from scammers should not count when they have been moved to the spam folder, check on your download sheet to make sure this has indeed happened.
If not, then send Etsy an email with the information.
You need to either reply or send to spam each and every message no matter who it is from. Star Seller is automated and just sees an unanswered message. Etsy never makes adjustments so just bear it in mind for future months.
How to Become a Star Seller – Etsy
Did you send those messages to the spam folder? If not, they will count against you. Noone reads your messages, the system is automated and simply compares the receipt and response time-stamps for each new message to determiine if they were answered within the 24hr requirement. Sending them to spam tells Etsy they are spam messages and they will not count against you. If you didn't do so yet do it now. It probably won't help for the March 1 badge which has now closed off, but it should fix the problem for next month.
Next time don't ignore them. Send them to your Etsy Spam folder. If you do that, they won't count against you.
