SOS! Any shop with a Chat-function can help me?

Hey guys!

I'm absolutely devastated right now and I need help super urgent.

Friday when processing my orders I was suddenly logged out of my account. Not this one, this is just a super small side project. The other etsy shop is my main income. When I tried to re login it says "Emailaddress is invalid". It indeed is invalid because I was hosting a website that I shut down some time ago and did not update my etsy account. So they just shut down the login to a busy account without checking.

So I have absolutely NO possiblity to create access to my account again. This problem is known to the support since friday and since then exactly no one helped. I contacted the support via an Email-conversation that was a follow up after a chat. To be correctly I contacted them on every old Email-conversation about any other issues I could find but got no answer. So today is the 5th day without any help. I opened a request from another account - no answer. I tried to call the irish telephone in the impressum - "temporarily not available". The Berlin office - number unknown.

I have about 30 new orders I don't know how to catch up with - I can't even put the shop on vacation. I can't answer request, all my stats are going down...

I'm absolutely freaking out over this poor support performance.

This is why I desperately ask someone who has the chat function available to get in touch with etsy LIVE (I'll submit all the relevant datas so they know that that is my shop) and ask in my name for instant help.

Would someone do that?

So sorry for this, I just don't know what to do anymore.

Etsy is notoriously slow at responding.  If you have sent an email, then don't send any more.  When you get a reply (which might be some sort of canned response) then click to reply that actual email to let them know you still need help.  If you don't, they consider the matter resolved.

I doubt if Etsy would discuss your account with a third party so I am sure that is not the way forward.

Hopefully someone will be able to give you a number to call.  I tried loading the Help Page to get a number for you but the Help Page itself won't even load!!

On those Email-conversation they normally answer quite fast, this is what makes me so nervous. I got a super small reply directly on friday where they wanted to know super specific information about my account to know it was me so they could help - I answered within 3 minutes but nothing followed since then. -_-*

I also checked absolutely everything for contact-possibilities... nothing. So a working telephone number would be absolutely the jackpot.

etsy doesn't have a phone number to call, sometimes they have call-back, or chat, but that's normally only when east coast USA is awake.

And there is no way they would do anything, on anyone elses say-so

try going through some options on community and help - contact us - when the east coast is awake

Thanks.. I guess I just had the idea of someone in a kinda "live" situation is feeling way more responsible than someone who can decide to answer an email or not. I have 4(!) open requests now and absolutely no movement. I even contacted them on facebook... just don't know what to do anymore.

There is an Etsy support phone number that used to work for European countries. It's a UK number but I have used it in the past. I have sent it to you in a message in the shop you're posting this from - hope it's still valid...

Oh wow, thank you so much for this encyclopedia of possibilities!!! I’m amazed! This is like a help-link-bible every etsy user should know!

Some still don’t seem to work for us here in Germany, call back for example doesn’t load after putting my number, also tried on different devices but the site with the chat was no where to be found from my end, so THANKS for the direct link so much and taking care of my problems!

Try using your Etsy account shop name in the email field. This works for me. I’ve never input an email address to login, but I’ve always logged in that way (since 2006) and newer accounts might be required to use an email address. Worth a try.

ETA: I’m typing in my Esty shop name in the email address field.

You are absolutely right - this is what would work NORMALLY and also for my other accounts does, but it seems they have deleted the whole LogIn, so sadly also no entrance with this option. But thank you for also trying to find a solution, super duper appreciated!

Are you still logged in on any other device?  If so use that to immediately change the password. I've read here of shops being deactivated when orders are (or seem to etsy) to be so many that it could cause you to miss delivery dates.  Hopefully that is not your issue today.

Thank you so much for that thought - I also had it but at the same time I had no access to the app as well anymore. Kicked out of everthing at the same time. Sadly I couldn't find help on the page you sent because as far as I could see it all led to contacting the support in the end but the link for the chat is awesome! ♡ This was no where filed in my help-pages! I just wanted to thank you all for this awesome support here & all the great answers! I really felt well taken care of from all of you, better than ever from the etsy support directly. No wait -  I remember one really great help in 2017...

I also found a „hero“ who walked with me down the way of my initial request and indeed contacted the support. And guess what - they let him know that it is already „in progress“. Just to hear that was relieving, though I feel that 5 days for such an urgent concern is a bit.. well… rough. But still… maybe in summer I can log in again. Yay. ;))

We are having this problem with our other Etsy shop, too.  One of my shops works, the other not. Contacted Etsy a lot and support is very slow.  Started yesterday morning.  It's crippling.

I really hope they'll fix it asap.

For me today it's the 6th day w/o login - though they really made me feel like they'd take care of it yesterday. Super frustrating being dependent on people who just won't help, no matter how often you contact them, reach out and declare how important it is for them to take action.

The chat is still the best way to get in touch with them I guess though that still doesn't mean that they'll solve the problem any time soon.

Where are you contacting Etsy? I have 3 shops and suddenly I can't access my oldest one.  I sent request for password reset and Etsy apparently thinks I don't have an account under that email (and I have for many years).  Didn't get any bill today.

I can't find a link that will let me actually contact Etsy - their categories don't work and I keep endlessly looping.

Just a short update: Still no help.

BUT: I want to encourage you all to change the login of your accounts to a 2-step-varification if you don't use it already.

Just by accident and in the 3rd Chat I had yesterday about this because I'm currently really losing my nerves and my only strategy is escalate, escalate, escalate... they told me, that another Emailadress was filed on the day I was logged out with a new passwords. No one mentioned that before, can you believe this?

So my account was hacked!!

I read in the forum so much about other shop owners who experienced this and also did'nt get help from etsy for 1 week or even 2.

So save yourself from hackers & being dependent on the etsy support and secure your accounts, guys!

I spent part of two days in the endless loop (categories don't apply and if you can't sign in  . . . they are useless).  I spent close to 5 hours Yesterday before I found this thread.  There is a reply by LuxMaker in this thread that gives the chat link.  I used it and had a person within minutes.  Granted, she got all the information and then turned it over to a "specialist team" who will get back to me.  I'm figuring this is only the first step and will have to stay with it, but it was a step out of the endless loop.
