SECTIONS now gone in edit mode

I am working in the draft in the "old version" and want to assign it a section. In the past I have had a menu to select from. IT IS NOW GONE!

Here is what it showing:

Section Optional

Group related listings into Sections to help shoppers browse (e.g., Bracelets, Father’s Day Gifts, Yarn).
Add your first section

I already have multiple "Sections" Etsy has removed this and I can no longer add "draft-mode" products to ANY section. With this issue I can no longer add ANY new product to my store. I'm on a Windows 11 PC not a phone App.

I wouldn't say that, it's actually been ongoing for several months now. And it comes and goes so it can happen again.

a glitch that is on & off. Comes and goes as it pleases. No fix in sight.

I use a Windows desktop, Firefox and I see the same when trying to list. If I save as a draft and then go back and alter the draft, my sections are available. 

I don’t know if I am responding correctly to your post…. Just trying to let you know that you’re not alone in listing issues. Also, this just started a couple of days ago for me.

As mentioned above, this has been going on for many months, perhaps close to a year. It comes and goes but has yet to actually be completely fixed. The most reliable way to fix it in my experience is to save as draft or publish the listing then go back and change the section via the bulk editing options up top of listing manager page.  You can also try just editing after you save as draft or publish and see if the sections appear then to select from. That way doesn't always work though.

When i'm actually adding new items I always go into my listings tab on the dashboard and check for listings in the "no section" section and bulk add them where they need to be. It's easy to forget the section part completely when the drop down is missing.

Dad-blamed Etsy... just when you think you can rely on them they they pull the rug out from under you over and over again. Almost like a hidden  skunk in a beauty salon.

@SurnamePro The shop section disappears for me if I use Duplicate from a live listing - always with Chrome and sometimes with Firefox.
The problem does not occur when I use Copy in the listings manager.

It is probably like other tiny computer issues.  It can't be replicated.  Is only happening to a few so not worth the time to fix immediately.

The only issue I ever had was with the labels years ago when the date didn't hold.  It happened to me several times but Etsy was unable to replicate it.  It finally got fixed when they altered the labels.

Oh and I will only use the old listing format until Etsy forces me to use the new.  The new format makes my work twice as hard.

I agree with the new format being confusing. 

 I don't understand the shipping. I liked the old version where I set the shipping individually. Now they keep adding the same shipping as the last item I shipped. My items require different prices for shipping. When I try to change it. They say it is the same charge as the last item. 

I don't get it and think I will go back to the old version while they are trying to figure this out. 

I sell cloth dolls and patterns. Some cost me over $40 to ship and others are $15. This is very annoying when they want to charge a lower rate. I lose.

I have been seeing that for a long time, since last year, but I got around it by using quick edit if I needed to change the section when I copied a listing or assign a section when I did a fresh, not copied listing. I use Firefox on both Windows and Mac OS, same experience on both.

Just a quick note which might help. In my experience when using quick edit you can only edit ONE section at a time it can’t save multiple section edits. So the work around is when you are editing a draft or live listing in quick edit choose the section to edit make the changes. Save the changes if available some sections you don’t have the option eg photos  next you use the back button top left this saves the change. Next select the listing again change ONE section again until you are happy all sections are correct. When you have finished all sections and gone back to save for the final time go back into the listing and choose publish. It’s a nuisance but hopefully they will sort it out.

I always copy/duplicate a similar listing and then just change the details.  Everything is there and it makes it super easy when listing. I am on chrome and using the old listing version.

Glad to see a response. I will continue using the old format until these problems are worked out. 

  Why does there need to be a change? Sometimes change for the sake of change and a new idea is not always the best.

Also in the NEW version you can not save as a DRAFT for later editing. Your 2 options are to  continue EDITING now or PUBLISH. No SAVE AS DRAFT. I need to add more later not PUBLISH incomplete work NOW!

Thank you all for your information.  I have been away for a bit with my Moms health.  Just started listing again yesterday. Then came up to the NEW listing page.  So frustrated.  Will work on editing.  I just stopped listing after 2 new listings with that new page.  Will work on it tomorrow.  Going Junking today!!
