SCAM EMAIL - I AM NEW TO ETSY SO PLEASE HELP !!!

Hi... I have an email form a USMAN ALI and from all the research it would appear to be a SCAM . The text is as follows >>>>>>>>

I am very interested in your product and would like to buy it. I clicked the "Buy Now" button at checkout to purchase your item through Etsy shipping, but it asks for the seller's E-mаilL to complete the purchase. can you please give me your E-mаilL so that I can pay

How can I block this member as it looks 99.99% a scam !!

Any help would be appreciated asap .......... thank you

Don't answer this SOB.  Mark the Message as SPAM!
ETA:  I'm so sorry that this is your experience as a new Seller.  These Scammers are targeting new Sellers as well as seasoned ones.

This scam has been going around for months now. There is no way for you to block anyone but you can report it and Etsy will close their account.

Don’t give them your email. It is a scam.

in your messages mark the message as spam, and report the message sender to etsy, so they make sure the message sender doesn’t message any other sellers.

Seller could have gotten an email through Etsy Conversations (Etsy messaging system).  I get those in my email linked to Etsy....

do you have to sign up for them.

@nineteen27  I had to go look; been a while!  It's under Account Settings, then Emails tab, then some check boxes for notifications.  I have it checked for when Someone sends me a message.
