Review changed and still lowered my average

I had a customer give me a 2 star review which made my shop go from 5.0 star rating to 4.9. Then she changed it to 5 star but my average is still at 4.9 despite the change. Will Etsy update my shop back to 5.0? This one review out of hundreds has literally lowered my average and its very frustrating.

It takes a little while to update but it does i had the exact same thing happen. I think 24 hours but not sure.

For a 2 star review you only dropped from 5 to 4.9... I had a 4 star review and they dropped me from 5 to 4.8... the system just doesn't work.

It was out of like 135 reviews total. Most if not all were 5 stars so the 2 stars dropped the average down. The system is messed up though. There shouldn’t be an average or star seller system.

How do we get them to change or give us the value they use to figure out the results?

I have this same issue I got 119 good 3 at a 4 star mostly over the usps being slow nothing I can do anything about, but just a couple bad brings reviews down so much is completely messed up. I’m thinking of leaving Etsy because of such things.

Per the star seller info on your  dash board.,"Your ratings average is calculated by adding up all of the ratings you’ve received during the review period, and then dividing that by the number of reviews you’ve received". Everyone's percentage will be different based on how many reviews you actually get.
