I was at 100% response rate. Almost 2 months ago I didn't answer with 24 hours for one person. It dropped me down to 90%. After 13 quick responses it went up to 93%. Over this past week it went down to 90% and then up to 92%. How many quick responses does it take to take your percentage up one? I just want to know if this is normal or does it seem like a glitch? Also, I've chatted with Etsy, but know one is really telling me anything. Is there another phone number to call about technical issues/questions?
Your rating would have dropped this last week because of the end of month. Etsy calculates Star Seller on the 1st of each month based on the three months prior. Sunday was the 1st of the new month so the next badge to be calculated on Feb 1 (the ratings for which are now showing under the CURRENT tab on your SS page) is based on Nov, Dec and Jan. The Oct data from last month's assessment has dropped off now, and Jan has just begun so you only have two months an a few days so far in the calculations. As the month goes on and hopefully more sales are added, and more messages, shipments and reviews, your ratings will start to go up again.
@StitchesnHoopsArt: There is no phone number to contact Etsy. The response rate is simple math, so basically you can have one late response out of each 20 new threads (19 / 20 = 95%) during the three month period. Best thing to do is look at the applicable CSV file available on your Star Seller page to see which first message(s) of a new thread Etsy thinks you did not reply to within 24 hours. Remember that the file is in UTC not your time zone.
