Reset if listing renewal dates

On October 20th a large majority of my over 2000 listings had their renewal date changed to renew on the same day.   They are now all set to renew on Feb 20th.    This massive renewal took all the money out of my payment account creating a negative balance.    These affected listings were not all entered on the same day.   I have had a shop with Etsy for over 5 years and have never had this issue before.

The only time I saw it happen before was when listings weren't actually expiring when they were supposed to (sellers were getting extra time for free). Then, Etsy would fix the glitch and anything that was supposed to have expired/renewed already, would get renewed at the same time, causing a mass renewal and everything to have the same dates.

There are 48 posts if you search for 'expired listings still active' ranging from a few weeks ago to 6 years ago, so seems like it's been a glitch for a long time. 

I do recall at least one post where they complained about all those expired listings getting renewed at the same time, but can't find that post. Sounds like that may be what happened to you.

This just happened to me too.  I had put my shop on vacation, when I reactivated it, nearly 400 listings were now 'expired.' 

I had noticed that some that should have been expired before were somehow still active past the expiration date.

Just one more thing on etsy that doesn't work the way it should.

I make sure all my listings are on manual by using the drop down.  There have been reports in the past that items on manual were switched to automatic when deactivated.  I don't have a lot of listings but this has happened to me so I make sure to use the drop down periodically to make sure everything is on manual.

I have started using on manual renewal.    I am attempting to change all the listings in my shop to manual renewal.    I did just hear from technical support, and they said that they were making the engineering department aware of the issue and are working to correct this issue.
