Replying to team posts

I am trying to reply to a team post and I am unsure of what I am doing wrong. I see the reply button for replying to other people who have replied to the post but how can I post on the whole board? I feel silly for asking this but I have tried everything. I don't know what I am missing.

It's the same layout as you see on this page.  The black reply button on the right is to nest a reply to a specific person.  The Reply box at the bottom of the page is for a general reply that will go to the end of the thread.

Okay thank you. When I click on the box to reply to the whole thread I see the reply button pop up but it is not doing it in the teams. I will try again. Thank you!
