Etsy please fix the problem with auto renewal.  I'm tired of changing my listings to manual then to see it changed back to auto.  Some of my listings are by season so when they expire I don't want them to auto renew until the appropriate time.

We are just other sellers. If you want to give Etsy a suggestion, you have to use the Contact form for that. But good luck in getting them to fix anything for sellers. It's been months since the USPS postage classes changed, and all they have to do is plug into an API for that, but they can't be bothered to even fix that.

I've tried on other occasions to get help from them, don't hold your breath waiting.  I get annoyed that I choose manual renewal then to have it changed to auto at some point without my knowledge.

@littledebskis: Are you renewing from the Expired page? If yes, there is a checkbox on the confirmation popup (at the very bottom) that defaults to "Renew automatically"

No, I was changing up one of my titles in a listing and noticed that my renewal is set to auto.  I always put manual setting in my listings.  This is not the first time it's changed on one of my listings?

Sometimes when I renew a manual expired listing, I see it renews as automatic. Every now and then I do a bulk listing check. You can check to change all listings and then click the renewal choice and bulk change all to manual.

This has been going on for a couple of years, so I doubt Etsy is going to do anything about it.  To be proactive, bulk edit your listings to manual once a week or so.  If you only have a couple of items to renew then open them as if you are going to edit and renew from the bottom of the page.
