I sell furniture as well as a few smaller items. I DO NOT have Free shipping set up. When I list a piece of furniture for calculated shipped with Uship (a broker), I must offer a fixed price! Shipping costs are different amounts; when anything moves across the Mississippi River, the shipping cost is substantially higher. I also cannot remove "Free Shipping" on the drop-down items under the view on my public Etsy View. I have tried relisting items with no shipping selected to no avail. Etsy also charged me 12% on a refund item when a customer wanted a refund because the Etsy view shows "Free Shipping".
Your shop is on vacation mode so there is nothing to see
Ill take it off of vacation mode so it can be viewed.
Your chairs have free shipping but not other listings
I removed the shipping from the chairs in the backend. Why are those showing up "Free Shipping"?
Because you removed the shipping
Etsy wouldn't let me list them without adding shipping. And then its always a fixed price request. So I tried test pieces to see if no shipping listed worked; some wouldn't save without shipping, and some relisted with "Free Shipping".
Etsy does NOT charge you for refunds.
If you refund a buyer and do "not" have that refund amount showing "available for deposit" then your credit / debit card is charged.
This is how refunds work if you don't have the money in your payment account.
If you sell an item with free shipping, you have to refund a buyer in "full". You can't keep part of the money for shipping you paid.
The buyer didn't pay any shipping.
You have free shipping on all the chairs.
If you put $0 or left the shipping section blank then it shows up free shipping.
You can't list an item with "no" shipping. Etsy does not have a local pickup option.
You have to enter a shipping cost on fixed shipping, 1st item shipping and each additional item shipping.
In case you don't know, you do not have seller protection on orders that are over $250.
If a buyer opens a case for whatever reason Etsy will refund from YOUR account.
