Hi! I updated my legal information, and the T&S Team tried to contact me, but I didn't have access to that email. So, I reached out to support, and they updated my email. Now, it's been more than a month, and I haven't heard from them. I've contacted support many times, and they always say I have to wait for T&S. After getting a banner saying I have to verify my information, it says I have 30 days to verify my information, and I only have nine days left. Has anyone else had the same problem? This is the banner I have now
Reminder: Verify your new name within 9 days to get paid
It looks like we couldn’t verify the recent update you made to your primary taxpayer name, so you still can’t receive funds from your sales. To get paid, you’ll need to upload a legal document (like a government-issued ID) confirming your new name — this helps us keep our community safe. If you can’t verify your name, we’ll need to cancel your pending sales and put your shop on pause via Vacation Mode.

Re: Reminder: Verify your new name within 9 days to get paid
Sorry, by "us" and "our," I really meant the etsy community, not referring to my husband and myself in that instance. At some point earlier in this year, etsy was requiring people to verify their tax information if they made $500 in sales within the year. I think that is where it went wrong for me. Not really knowing better myself, since my shop is smaller and does not frequently make that amount of of sales often, I had wondered why it said my husband's name in the primary taxpayer ID instead of mine. So, I went to update it and this is where I am stuck. I would like to just return it to his name if that will solve all of this. I am just unable to change it back or "undo" it when it says pending verification since June, if that makes sense.

Re: Reminder: Verify your new name within 9 days to get paid
I have updated and uploaded everything but keep am still seeing the message "It looks like we couldn’t verify the recent update you made to your primary taxpayer name." It appears immediately after updating, so maybe they just didn't create a separate message after you update? Hoping they verify it in the next 2 days.

Re: Reminder: Verify your new name within 9 days to get paid
are you changing the taxpayer name?
you can't change the primary taxpayer name, without evidence of the change, such as marriage certificate or deed poll
and the legal name has to match the bank account name
To update your legal name:
- On Etsy.com, go to Shop Manager.
- Choose Finances.
- Go to Legal and tax information and select Edit.
- Under Primary taxpayer ID, select Edit.
- Select whether you’re changing your name for a legal or non-legal reason.
- Change your name and select Save & upload documents.
- Add a government-issued photo ID. If you’re changing your name for a legal reason, also add one of the following:
- Marriage certificate
- Divorce certificate
- Certificate of commitment
- Legal document showing your legal name change
- Select Submit & update.
If you update your bank information, the name on your bank account must match the name or business entity you have provided.
