So I’ve seen this issue come up a few times it seems others, but this is the first time I’ve had the “not available in your region“ error message appear for one of my listings, and was hoping that someone would have an insight or a way to fix it?
My shop is UK based and exclusively sells within the UK (mostly small dioramas), which is why I was surprised to find when going to get a link it wasn’t even available for me to see. I doubt anyone else will be able to see it but I’ll link the product below:
Materially it is no different from any of the other products I sell. It uses no organic materials, contains nothing dangerous or against local laws and as far as I can tell there is not clear way for me to try and remedy this problem. I wasn’t even notified of the issue until I discovered it myself
Does it show or mention knives, bladed weapons etc?
Knives are not allowed to be sold over the internet in the UK due to age restrictions.
Unfortunately it would seem that the 'bots' can't tell the difference between a real knife and a scale model/sculpture. And they have photo recognition too so it's not just the words used that trigger it. I'm not sure there is a way around it, but it's only restricted for UK buyers.
There is a tiny little painted Lego sword though I didn’t actually mention it in the description. Very frustrating if that’s what caused it
It could be the sword that's in it.
Etsy does have image recognition. Sees a sword - blades and knives not allowed to be sold in the UK on etsy - blocks it.
