Refund issued but not received?

I was issued a refund today for an order that was not as described. I didn't receive any notification from etsy, no email. I checked my payment processor and no refund there either. The original order shows as refunded on the etsy receipt though. I know it can take a few days to process, but in the past I have received an email notification about the refund. Any idea what is happening here?

Is it possible you received Etsy credit?

Nope, checked that.

It now takes about 24 - 48 hours to receive email confirmation  from Etsy for refunds.  It has something to do with the new program:  refunds vs. Etsy credits - supposedly, buyer's choice.

Oh good grief. Sounds like Etsy is not processing refunds in a timely manner.
