Force Vacation Mode without any Notifice

My shop has been forced into Vacation Mode without any notification.

I immediately uploaded my ID photo, but verification failed. I’ve re-uploaded it multiple times with the same result, even though all the information on my ID card photo and Taxpayer ID number matches and accurate. I’ve tried contacting Etsy Support, but only received automated replies with no further updates.

I noticed  yellow banner mentioned that confirming my identity in the next 60 days.

The processing time seems too much. I'm really worried about lossing my customers, and I hope Etsy resolves soon.

Re: Force Vacation Mode without any Notifice

I'm sorry this is happening to you as well. It may be due to Verification needed for the INFORM Act, in which case, Etsy should SAY SO. And I don't get it; they are doing things bass ackward, first putting Shops on Vacation, then taking forever (in a lot of cases) to get back with the Seller. I've seen some Sellers state they can't even Submit the required documentation (Submit button greyed out). It's a poor way to run things. When there are things Shop related (and certainly dealing with financials and sensitive information), you need 24 Hr. Knowledgeable Human Support.

I hope you get this resolved soon.

Thanks for explaining:) I completely understand the INFORM Act and want to comply, but the review process feels so long.

I think the 60 days is the amount of time you have to submit your verification, not the time it takes to confirm it.

"To get paid and start selling again, you’ll need to upload a legal document (like a government-issued ID) confirming your identity in the next 60 days"

Re: Force Vacation Mode without any Notifice

I've just woken up to a sale and to find my shop in holiday mode, wanting me to verify my ID and process the order even though I can't get the money. Oh what fun on the Etsy merry-go-round. My passport is out of date, I only have provisional driving license, which is also out of date!

'I'm up the creak, and never mind the paddle, John, I haven't even got a canoe'!!!

Honestly as if live here in the UK could get any worst, you get this twaddle dumped on your plate in the morning. Bah Humbug!!
