Red banner

Has anybody ever had any issues posting listing changes? 

I keep getting a red banner at the top of my screen that states “Hm, we’re having trouble saving your changes. Try again, and if this keeps happening contact etsy support.” 

how do I fix this?

I have occasionally had problems, but I suspect that this is not due to Etsy, but due to slow internet where I live. This is generally resolved by going to take a cup of coffee and coming back later on when less people are on line for instance during meal times.

I'm getting this banner occasionally now when using the new listing design. The problem is that the listing then becomes active (but incomplete) but the listing cannot be edited any further - I just get a stick has gone awry page. So far out of 15 new listings it's happened 3 times. I've having to contact support to see what can be done because the listings are still being charged but are not complete and cannot be completed.

Think I've solved it. By making the listing inactive and then activating again I can then edit once more.

If you make it inactive and then active again, do you have to pay the .20 cents?

Another reason I'm waiting to use the new listing form until I have to. Etsy should wait to introduce new features until all the kinks are worked out.

I had a red banner a few days ago that said 8 of my listings were copyright violations. I contacted Etsy because no listings were removed, no email about the listings and Etsy basically said it was a glitch. I'm not sure what's going on.

Same red banner happened to me today while editing an expired listing. It was my internet connection and all was well after about 30 seconds.

Try changing the item's year/period of creation.

Turns out my deactivate and reactivate solution must have been a one-off because that's not working now for another listing that got a red banner and which I was then unable to edit further. Now I'm creating the listing but first saving as a draft, and then publishing. Hopefully that will avoid non-editable not saved correctly red banner issues.
