We received an order that costs $184.00 + shipping and taxes which should have been $216.00. However, on the packing slip the order total came to $7100.33. How the heck did that happen? We checked everything on our end and all was correct. I am sure the customer properly charged, but I definitely cannot send the packing slip with the order, and I am sure that I will never be able to reach Etsy on this matter.
Just a heads up to make sure you packing slips are correct!
Good Luck!
Was it maybe a currency other than US dollars?
Different currency dollars were used to pay? Even if your customer is from the US, they can still pay with a different currency depending on payment method.
The packing slips will be correct
the $ will be a different countries $'s, so a different exchange rate
It's about right for the Taiwanese dollar
Taiwanese dollars are converting to around the 7000 mark today.
Order Receipts show Seller's currency
Packing Slips show Buyer's currency
If both Seller & Buyer countries use a $, Etsy does not add any distinguishing country notation
actually, I had an odd one the other day. I never have noticed a CAD $ in any order. I always use the packing slip.
The $ is always correct for me as a US seller in USD.
but this one was different. Not sure if this is something new/updated (as my sales to Canada are about 1% of my US sales...) but never noticed THAT before. Freaked me out a little until I did the conversion.
