REMOVING PROCESSING TIMES FROM SHIPPING PROFILES - NIGHTMARE - MISSING SOMETHING???

Etsy has removed the processing time from the shipping profiles and to be blunt - this is HORRIFIC. I cannot express how bad of an idea this is... I have over 700 AD's - that all fit into specific shipping profiles with specific processing times within those profiles. I often have to change my processing times due to volume of orders - especially during prom.

So with this new "feature" I will be required to go into EACH INDIVIDUAL AD to edit the processing time??????

So this can not longer be done in bulk???

Or am I missing something???

This will be an absolute NIGHTMARE.

Right. Because redoing and updating thousands of pictures last year to the 2000 px size, and now removing all the AI generated completely irrelevant alt text from our images (for invitations. with made up weddings. with absolutely no relevance to the listing. And font charts listing every single font style on the chart as if THAT would relay anything relevant), while trying to redo all keywords and tags and titles so we might actually stay visible to get a trickle of orders instead of none is not enough work for us already.

I had 9 visits today, and only 4 orders since the weekend. Why I'm sending out emails looking for a new job.

I am very tempted to just delete all the processing times and start over.  I really don't have the patience to undo whatever mess Etsy made this time.  Given the extreme punishments for shipping late, it is incredible that they haven't told anyone they have a week to fix it.

This is something they keep doing, complicating things by hiding stuff like tracking on tabs or multiple levels.  They never ask about a seller and the way they process information.  I don't need processing and delivery separate.  I need them together.

I find this all very confusing. I always had a processing time in my listings. 

Not even sure what I have to do now.

Etsy please give us more time to make any changes we need to do.

This is just so weird and NOT thought thru at all. And whoever did the programming really needs to be taught how to TEST their work and use critical thinking!! I use ONE processing time for ALL my listings... 1 to 3 days  (covers me for just in case RARE times when I can't mail items the very next day). Like everyone else I see that etsy didn't think to only apply this new hell to active listings going forward. So... since they gave me pages and pages of completed/sold listing to update processing times for, I updated them all to "1 to 3 days".  Now I only have ONE processing times profile for everything.   

What's really hysterical is this: I only have 405 active listings. BUT, when I finished this new "CHORE" etsy has assigned us, etsy PROUDLY announced I'd completed updating processing times for 8529 listings. Yay me...

Besides which... WTH logic is behind this?

That is a question we'd all like answered, but this is Etsy we're talking about, so we'll probably never know!!

I updated the processing times on all the sold out listings just to consolidate them. Etsy had 4 pages of processing time profiles on my page. So I just clicked each one & changed the times. Then Etsy told me that "profile" already existed & merged them together. So dumb.

If you aren't going to use old sold out listings again, maybe don't worry about? If you ever "resurrect" an old listing, you can manually change it then. I often take an old custom listing & renew it for a customer. So if I bulk edit those items now, it is "fixed" for later.

My original processing times on all of my shipping profiles have vanished which stinks because now there are at least 75 processing profiles for thousands of listing's that all have different processing times uggg. Not to mention most of those listing are expired , sold out or deactivated for years now.

A little warning would have been nice so I could have taken some notes so I could easily set everything up the same as it was. It was set up just how I wanted it now the info is gone. Super annoying. That's all I need is more endless busy work fixing or adapting to stupid unnecessary changes grrr

What about all the sellers who have no idea that this is going live on Tuesday?  The vast majority of sellers don't use the forums so they are not going to be aware of the changes unless they notice them in their dashboards?

And sadly the only place I saw it mentioned in Shop Manager is in Shipping Settings.

If a shop has everything in Shipping Settings set up and working well for them they likely have no reason to even visit Shipping Settings page and will most likely never see the info or be aware of this annoying unnecessary change.

Well I changed all my listings (I think) with the bulk editing.

They already had that processing time from when I did the listings originally.  So I don't understand why I had to do anything more. But I gave it my best try and it remains to be seen if I did it correctly.

Absolutely nothing about the Processing time added directly to my listings, stuff that actually affects my shop the most directly. I only found out about it because of this thread - I came here to see the reason for the yet again dead traffic.

Shame on Etsy for failing to notify sellers about this.

I had the info/notification sort of buried in Shipping Settings, nothing on dashboard. I would have missed it completely if I didn't see it here in the forums as I have (had) little need to visit shipping settings since everything was fine tuned and working perfectly well for me. Now it's a mess.
