Etsy has removed the processing time from the shipping profiles and to be blunt - this is HORRIFIC. I cannot express how bad of an idea this is... I have over 700 AD's - that all fit into specific shipping profiles with specific processing times within those profiles. I often have to change my processing times due to volume of orders - especially during prom.
So with this new "feature" I will be required to go into EACH INDIVIDUAL AD to edit the processing time??????
So this can not longer be done in bulk???
Or am I missing something???
This will be an absolute NIGHTMARE.
Jenny
If you are referring to this link from the article referred to in the shipping profiles, there is a section in it where it says how to assign processing times in bulk, if you scroll down. Is this not what you mean?
Oh, I see that option now.... OMG - I HAVE 13 PAGES!!! I only have 7 Shipping Profiles - why the heck are there 52 PROCESSING PROFILES??? OMG...
This is insane. They NEVER should have done this. Thank you for the article.
Can you not DELETE some of these processing profiles??? I do not see a way to delete them
the blurb about the new processing time profiles was about as clear as mud.
I'm hoping that instead of managing processing times in the shipping profiles there will be separate processing time profiles that can be applied to listings in bulk. I just edited all the ones Etsy invented for me and they edit like the ones in the shipping profiles.
Not sure why Etsy did this or what the benefit to anyone is ... and I agree that it's an annoying change ... but I don't think its as bad as having to edit every listing individually.
Did anyone find a way to delete some of the processing profiles? I agree with many of you, so tired of Etsy making random changes to our shops! SMH
@JJCustomFloralDesign when you say you have 700 ADs, do you mean listings? Or do you have offsite ads turned on for 700 listings?
I just took a look at my shipping profiles and the listings I have under each, and one thing I noticed is that some of my "sold" listings are included in ones I need to review. Once I double checked those, I could make edits in bulk, if needed, but overall, everything looks ok.
It sounds like what they are doing is separating a shipping profile from a processing profile, so maybe in the future you can just have one shipping profile, and then update the processing separately - maybe that's easier for some handmade sellers.
I have 771 listings. - All of my listings are automatically advertised for outside ADs because I make over the minimum about... I cannot turn off that feature.
@BeaconwoodDettman As far as I know, sellers can't turn Off-Site Ads on for specific listings. Either they're on because they have to be (due to the sales volume per Etsy's rules) or the seller can choose to allow OSA for their entire shop. If there is a way to only use OSA for specific listings, can you explain how that's done? Thanks!
I've just tried to change my processing time in one of my profiles. It's not saving my changes. Another Etsy glitch.
OH FUN.....
yep its same for me. W£"e have an upcoming public holiday in the UK so i wanted to move my processing times to allow for this but they have not changed and now orders will be marked as late dispatch
Yes, same here. I have tried everything, one by one and bulk but not working
The same thing is happening to me, which means that the estimated delivery times displayed to customers are very long, and I risk losing orders.
I created a new profile and customers see: "This item is specially made for you! Processing time may vary. Contact the shop to find out when it will be shipped."
Has anyone noticed, NO PRICES ON THE NEW SHIPPING PROFILES?! I do flat rate pricing because I want to keep it the same across all platforms. So how would I adjust shipping prices?
At the top - change "calculate them for me" to "I will enter fixed prices manually"
@JJCustomFloralDesign I cannot find that on the new profiles. I'll keep looking.
It is at the very top - listed under "SHIPPING PRICES" - First line
Are you looking at the individual listings? Because I cannot find it under the new Shipping Profiles. They've bunched over 500 items with different shipping costs all under one profile.
OH... I misunderstood what you were talking about. I thought you were trying to create a new shipping profile. Yea, I have no idea what is up with that!
NOPE!!!! I sure have not.
According to the link someone posted - you can do it in bulk but be sure you click the right listings! Here are the steps:
D*MN RIGHT IT IS! I AM SO ANGRY.
@bradgoodell you are mixing the shipping profile with the processing profile.
The shipping profiles have not changed. Etsy just added a processing profile. You will now be able to set your processing time easier and bunch the products together.
I still have all my shipping profiles, but now I have 3 processing profiles. One that ships the next day and 2 that are made to order with 2 different processing time.
