The quick edit button, which I always use to update bulk prices in my listings, is not active. I also checked previous forums. I cleared browser history, cookies. I logged out and logged back in. Tried different browsers still not working.
I have never used the quick edit and always just use bulk editing on listing manager page.
You can bulk update prices without using quick edit. Have you tried that?
Just go to shop manager > listings. Once there select the listings you need to edit price on (check the listing checkbox). Ten up top of page click 'editing options' and a dropdown will appear with the options. Edit prices is one of the options. You can increase or decrease by a set amount, increase or decrease by a percentage or set a new price.
Also, etsy changed this to a peer to peer support forum a couple years ago so its just us sellers here trying to help each other best we can.
of course ı know editing. only the button doesnt work , i wonder it.
What & where is the "quick edit tool"? I thought there was only 1 tool ... the bulk editing on listing manager page.
its a button on listing manager page. Look over on the right side of the page, it's right under the +add a listing button. It opens some bits of the listings and then you can make some basic edits to a few bits quickly I guess. I don't use it since it's so limited. I much prefer bulk editing if I need to. I'm actually not even sure how one can bulk edit in quick edit mode. Perhaps OP has their terms mixed up.
Yep, that is exactly what I use (quick edit on top right) & (bulk edit top center) to edit listings. I have noticed edits don't always make their full appearance on the public page for awhile though.
mine is working...
@TBQSC : You are correct - there have been reports that price changes made with bulk edit or quick edit do not propagate correctly but if you make the change in the listing itself the other pages (like shop home page) update sooner.
I use the bulk edit as I find it more reliable than the quick edit.
Deleted by me. Misunderstood issue.
I just checked, mine quick edit button is working.
@GalleryAntiques You can use it, but if you change prices, they do not show up in your shop. They only show if you open the listing. At least that is what happens to me.
@JackisJustVintage I rarely make price changes, I normally only use it if I want to change the title due to an error I hadn't spotted when creating the listing or forgot to add SKU, or I want to change the shop category it is in.
@GalleryAntiques I misunderstood her issue, but the last few times I tried to do price changes, they didn't show up. Always something..
When I use :
Listing - - edit options - edit prices,
my edited price shows up. So I think all is good and there's nothing more to do. However, that price is not registering on the home page and customers are buying with the lower, unedited price. The only way to guarantee that the edited price shows up across the board in my shop is to hand edit from my home page each listing, which is time consuming and exhausting.
