Just had a query from a customer asking if one of my items would be available again soon. It did NOT include a link to the item involved. I messaged her back asking which item she was interested in. She messaged back that she thought the link had been attached to her message. Is this a new bug? Or is there another explanation?

More likely customer error. But I wouldn't click on any links someone sends you, even if it looks real. There is a scam where someone will say they are interested in items, send a few links, one of them is fractionally different and makes it look like you are logging into your shop, you are not, instead you are giving the scammer the log in info.
Better she just describes what she is after. If she is looking at it she should be able to cut and paste the exact title.
