Production Cost Error - TECH SUPPORT PLEASE FIX

I have been unable to copy old listing, make a new listing or edit a listing all day due to this error.

Really hurting right now since I have about 20 new listings to get up and it is the first FRIDAY of the month- which is usually a pay day. 

Pausing my ads until this corrected.

I am having the same issue. I tried reaching out via chat and I was able to send 2 messages before it just wouldn't allow me to send anything else.

Me too, has been an issue all day. I tried contacting support and even that didn't go through...UGH!

Same thing just happened when trying to edit. Was able to get around it by using the quick edit. Won't work for most things.

I had the same issue today with Google, but have had no issues with Edge.  Have you tried a different browser, or clearing your browser cache?

I have just put up about 30 listings but I'm using the old listing  form.  If you're using the new form, try using the old.  Maybe they are finally fixing the new form but I'm not holding out much hope for that.

Same issue here, can not wait price without the system asking me to fix 'Production Cost' and will not let me input price lower than £10

Having the exact same issue all I'm trying to do is change my listing photos. I've tried using Safari rather than chrome, same issue is popping up. It's not a new listing, just updating one.

I tried to create a drop down menu for some vintage vinyl - same thing.  I started with an existing listing and edited it to include another record from the same artist adding a drop down instead of creating a completely new listing.  Couldn't figure out what they wanted me to correct.

What the fark is a production cost anyway? Surely they aren't going to start diving that deep into our business?!

I've never heard Etsy concerned  about the production cost.

I wonder how the resellers will reply................

I'm guessing the one thing they listened to were people saying the 'net profit' didn't take enough factors into consideration and wasn't actually the net profit, so this was their attempt at adding that option to give people a more accurate picture. Of course, in classic Etsy fashion, it was not thought through, not tested, and implemented to the least amount of success and usefulness as possible.

Try using the old version to make a listing. It just worked for me based off another persons suggestion further down in the thread

@PaintPaperCreations  Same thing happened to me when I was updating a listing. I did something to fix it but can't recall what. I think I got out of the listing and went back in. Sorry I can't be of much help.

I’ve been having the same issue all day. If you’re in Safari and click on an existing listing to copy, there’s a blue area at the top of the page with an option to “switch to old version”. Once I selected that, I was finally able to add new listings without the production cost error. Hopefully this helps!
