Morning you lovely seller community from sunny Cheshire, UK!
Going on a short break later today and having had major issues with using holiday mode in the past, I am again just updating processing times so customers can still browse and purchase but with updated, accurate lead times for their orders.
Worked amazing last time and didn't suffer the major drop off on return that holiday mode used to cause.
BUT - I see Etsy changed the processing times area so its now made to order or ready for dispatch and can be different per variant which is amazing!
The issue I have is even after lengthening processing times this morning - it still appears to me that customers are seeing my items available for the usual delivery lead time of being dispatched same or next day on rapid delivery - so most are showing delivery estimate 24.05. It should be much later than that based on the processing times edit I made.
Wondering if it takes time to reflect on the listings? Has been nearly an hour since I made the change though. Worrying as a customer placing an order now would be given a false lead time that is not possible.
It did not work for me after I tried this. It still does not show any est delivery date.
This has not worked for me, now all my listings say... 'This will be made just for you! Prep time varies. Contact the shop to find out when it will dispatch'... instead of any estimated time
I have a problem with getting to notify etsy about not being able to put out a notification to customers due to an emergency. How can I get things like this so it won't happen again. Here's my story...Hi I understand my not meeting my ontime shipping for April, what do we do if things that happened to me this month is unavoidable and we can not get to a computer to mark our lack of responding? On Mother's Day here in Hawaii my mom age 103 passed away thorugh all of the mess I did not get to a computer to send a notification AND a couple days after my mom's passing I ended up in the emergency room at the hospital for heart problems, kidney failure and phneumonia, I think things like this should have been an exemption. Therefore, if you need I can send all the legal documents showing that all of this did happen with that week. I know it's just something that we can meet our goals but it doesn't look good when a customers sees we failed.
Sorry this happened to you! I agree there should be something for emergencies. A fellow Etsy seller I know had a bad accident an ended up in hospital. Nothing you can do sometimes. Non of my family would know what to do with my shop in an emergency.
