Processing Time setting

I'm trying to change my Processing Time from "1 business day" to "1-2 business days." This change is part of the Shipping Profile page. My profile is for USPS Priority only shipped to the US. Etsy says I have 471 listings using this profile. When I use the Processing Time pulldown menu to change the current "1 business day" to "1-2 business days" and hit save, I get this error: "We can't save these changes because 40 listings connected to this profile would no longer have a valid shipping option."

I can't spot any logical reason for this. Can someone help? Thanks.

Re: Processing Time setting

Are you sure everything else is filled out? I just edited mine and changed one from 1-2 days to 1-3 days with no problem so I don't think it is a glitch.

Re: Processing Time setting

Thanks. Yes, I was very craeful not to change any other setting. I tried everything I could think of -- even leaving the setting as 1 business day and pressing save, which creates the same problem. So, apparently any attempt to save anything results in this error. BTW -- I have one other profile which has 400+ listings assigned to it and that profile had no problem with updating my Processing time. Help!!

Re: Processing Time setting

In case this helps anyone: After finding no solution to this, I created a fresh shipping profile with the new Processing Time and moved all the listings to the new profile. But even that brought another glitch: Etsy menus clearly show that you're supposed to be able to make a simple Shipping Profile change in bulk to many listings at once. Trying this brought an unexplained error, i.e. no details of what went wrong. I was only able to move the listings to the new profile in batches of 40 at a time. It worked, but it is discouraging to find that the Etsy store manager has these kinds of mystery glitches.

Re: Processing Time setting

@ClassicPixx - I was going to suggest the next time you bulk edit by Item Section but I see you don't have any. And yes, the glitches are frustrating and work-arounds need to be found. Glad you were able to find one.

Off topic but on the listings I looked at, you have no shop policies in place. With the recent changes Etsy made, shop policies are now attached to individual listings & are basically no longer shop wide. Having policies gives shop owners some hope that they might be able to use Etsy's seller protections if the need ever arises. Link follows -

It is supposed to be possible to add policies to listings by editing in bulk. Most have not had problems, but, you never know, lol.
