Private listings

Twice now recently, I have had customers say nothing happens when they click the custom order I sent. When I check the order in the message, I seem to be able to click on the link and access the order. The last customer sent a screenshot of what it looks like from her end and it's totally different to what I see. Nothing at all happened when she clicked the link I sent.

This is happening to me too. And some customers are seeing the private listing twice and asking if they need to purchase both. 

Any luck figuring this out?

This happened to me. The only way round the glitch was to send a link to the listing page itself to my customer. 

@PillowDetails gave me the solution a few weeks ago: Go to Shop Manager - Listings - filter on the right to "Expiring Latest" - when you see the custom order, click on the gear icon and "View on Etsy" - now copy/paste the URL into a message to the Buyer.

I've gone back to the ancient workaround of creating a "normal" listing with a generic photo and "Custom for [insert name]" in the title. I was having issues with people jumping the gun on payment before the shipping was corrected because for some reason shipping profiles wasn't working in the "turn this message into an order" process. Considering a lot of my Custom orders are for bulk or expedited shipping and whatnot, the shipping costs shouldn't be a wild stab in the dark!

@TurtleVillageKraft  Now that it looks like everyone has the new set-up for Custom orders, many have reported the same, so I would say, no, it is not fixed.  Don't rely on Etsy sending a workable link to the Buyer like they are supposed to to.

Find it yourself and send your own link for now.

firstly - i really don't like thge new sidebar system to create a custom listing - no option to add pics, despatch profiles etc.  i have to make the listing then go into it via the listings menu and edit it.

secondly and most important, having made a private listing from the side bar under messages, my message tells me the listing has been sent to the customer but the customer tells me he cant see it.  i have to go into the shop, find the private listing and send hime the link.

HELP please
