With the new listing forms, it looks like we are no longer able to create private listings through messages for digital products. It automatically makes me try to choose a shipping profile which is irrelevant for digital downloads. What's everyone doing instead? I really hope they fix this soon because it's quite a setback.

Re: Private Listing for Digital Products
They used to allow private listings for digital products - for years I've sold a set of calendars and planners, and I'd get requests to change the color or change the font, or whatever, and I could just do that for someone and create a private listing. Now, they want me to have a "made to order" tag, but that presupposes that I want all these variations showing up on my shop all the time and that I want to pay to list them every 4 months. I don't know why they eliminated the private listing for digital products but it's certainly a pain and has now caused me to post a "private" sale listing in public and have had someone else favorite it, which means if they circle back AFTER the original buyer has bought it, the listing will show up as not available or sold out or some such crap.

Re: Private Listing for Digital Products
thanks, BagmakerSupply - I do understand the new "how", I'm just objecting to it, because I don't want to maintain constant listings to offer "customization". I have several customers who buy a calendar from me once a year and I do customizations for them at that time. I'll figure out how I want to deal with this going forward, it's just annoying that it used to be so simple and I don't understand why that "private" listing option went away for digital. Makes me imagine that people were doing naughty things, because otherwise there seems to be zero reason to have removed that capability. Thanks for your time to respond, however, greatly appreciated!
