A few days ago, I noticed that the price I entered in listings that I was editing did not stick. If the price was $6 but I was changing it to $7, when I reviewed the listing, it was back to $6. I changed price several time for each listing and it persistently reverted to the original price.
When I published the listing and went back in to update just price, the price would stick.
This makes changing prices very prone to errors. Make sure you're double checking that edited listings include the desired price.
Also, when I click on Publish I get a pop-up that says update US Postage rates multiple times before the listing actually updates. I use calculated shipping so there aren't even US postage rates to update.
Sigh. Something has changed that impacts editing listings and doing so is now even more cumbersome than it used to be.
Hope others notice and chime in so that just maybe Etsy will fix this.
I have been having lots of issues similar to yours when amending listings . What has worked is if I make it live and then deactivate and edit it. Then, the change sticks. Very frustrating especially when using the app to list items….
I have also been having problems editing my listings
It happens to me. I now always check to see if my new price sticks. Usually if I go out of Etsy and come back in, it has stuck. I also get the postal pop-up. I ignore it, for now.
@FrontPageVintage " pop-up that says update US Postage."
I get it too (calculated shipping) when renewing, and it gets blocked by another pop up "leave site." It's weird layered cluster f.
Same issue. I changed from "Fixed" price to "Calculated. I deleted all old shipping options, but they remain in my listing and do not update to new pricing. SIGH
Unfortunately, this happens to me often with both pricing adjustments and photo cropping. This new form is definitely more time-consuming. I imagine it has made things easier on Etsy's side. After reentering and resaving (sometimes multiple times) I always get it to work. Etsy has made things much more difficult for sellers in recent years. I still feel it is a worthwhile site. But, I equally believe it shouldn't be fully invested in like it could be before.
IT technicians always make things easier for themselves and the websites they manage. They don't care that most creators are IT illiterate—it makes them more money because we might hire an IT technician!
