I reallze this forum isn't always looked at by Etsy, but in the hopes that some miracle takes place, I'm posting about this AGAIN! I looked back at the various posts about this very issue and they span back 3 years! For the love of God, Etsy, STOP WITH THE POP-UPS! The page real estate is so junked up, that it is repelling. We as sellers, generate Etsy's income, so why don't you listen to us? The constant open cart, the messages about our favorites, the extra pop-ups about what's in our cart that is already open all of the time on EVERY page, only serve to drive customers away. They want a peaceful, enjoyable shopping experience, NOT constant hammering with information they already know. It's driving me, along with countless other sellers crazy, so just imagine what it's doing to our customers. Please just STOP!
I just read a thread about Etsy popping up on top of their own pop ups.
I've already stopped buying here and gone back to Ebay for items I need. No annoying pop-ups and I can find what I'm looking for quickly, instead of being shown items I don't want, don't need and wasn't searching for. Etsy seems to think we all have loads of spare time on our hands to browse....hmmm, no.
Wonder if it's a test. When I go to any shop, I don't get any pop-ups.
@UniqueGiftOrnaments If I just now add something to my cart or favorite something, the pop ups show up asap no matter what shop I'm looking at. It's been going on since it first started years ago, so it can't be a test.
If your cart is always empty, try adding something and give it a little while to see if you get a nagging pop up to ''buy before it's gone!!''
I get a few pop-ups but not enough to be too mad at Etsy. I have learned to ignore.
You must not shop at other places that offer pop-ups or something else that is just as irritating. Heck I get pop-ups for banking and medical care.
I just learn to go with the flow. Easier on the nerves.
Are buyer complaining to you? Then direct them to Etsy.
@TheVintagePineapple Yup, you're right. Wish Etsy would just stop messing around with our shops. Guess the programmers have nothing better to do.
Agree, it really cheapens the site and makes it on the same hard sell level as temu etc.
