Whats going on with all the photos being cropped? Is etsy sorting this out?

Just suddenly saw this on my profile. Makes all my products have cut off sides. Is this a glitch?

It's like they have made the photos taller, but this zooms it in. My whole profile looks bad now! I hope they revert it back to how it was

Etsy test.  User-based.  I am seeing normal pics in everyone's shops, for now.

It will come and go - they've done this before - don't go changing your pictures just yet.

Oh, I thought it might have something to do with their new version for listings.  I hope it will correct itself as I just recently re-did all my placemat photos.

@FreshPie: "If's a test why am I still seeing this when I've logged out?" There is no answer we can give, only Etsy knows.  They could be including all guests, perhaps they are limiting it by IP address range, etc etc etc.

Same issue in our shop - it started a few months ago with 1 or 2 listings - now its my entire shop. What is Etsy doing now?

Same here. Tired of them fiddling with things that are perfectly working. Y'all wasting our fees for absurd changes!!!!!!!!

I noticed recently that Etsy had changed the thumbnail | preview size for the listing photos - probably to make them compliant and fit in other places where they may advertise our listings. A lot of listings that took a while to sort the right size in the past will have to be re-scaled now - it's a pain in the neck, I agree but probably so they would be more visually appealing on other marketplaces. Additionally, the new listing datasheet has changed and I do prefer the old version. When I say NO thanks, I will use the old version, then I have problems with international pricing not coming up and photo links for variations. When you think you're done ... you rarely are.

I just wrote to Etsy support to let the tech staff know about this issue - I suggest everyone experiencing to do so as well. They only address issues when many sellers contact them.

@EarthAuraCreations yes do that but be advised that the help is inundated at the moment with problems that have been affecting a lot of non-US sellers for at least a week. On the orange buyers' app, our listings are showing as shipping from US locations and our only workaround seems to be changing or altering our postcodes to ones that don't even exist for our country. Add the glitchy new sellers' app and the listing page 'upgrade', it's problem after problem ... and being Friday, not likely to be attended to any time soon. We can't even get an update on tickets or in the forums : (

I see it too. The thumbnail images in my shop have narrowed but in search results they still look normal.

I tried right click save image as and the file name for the search result showed 340x270 but in my shop the same image showed 320xN.

Then I tried right click Inspect and saw two extra lines of code for the shop image called transparent_card img. Both had the words width: 100%; ruled out, like this width: 100%;

Looks like sh*t you cut my dogs in half and even my profile picture of my Mittzie she lost her legs. Look like I don't know how to take pictures.

This is awful, I have over 300 listings that I specifically design the thumbnails to show a full length and close up of the garments for sale, now they are cut off. I'm so sorry for all the other sellers that this is affecting too!
