We have been logging in from the same IP address for years and for a few days now we have been getting a lot of photo security questions before we can log in.
I find it very annoying to keep getting a ton of photos before I can log in.
Does anyone else have this problem?
no
my IP address changes at least weekly, so it's nothing to do with IP address
I think you missed the point.
Those of us with IP addresses that change frequently don't get logged out and the captcha photos.
Hence getting logged out and captcha'd is very unlikely to be related to your IP address.

Has anything changed on your browser that could cause cookies to be deleted?
Browser settings, add-ons, or security software?
Lawrence
The modern captcha does not actually rely on you correctly clicking on squares in the image. Instead it uses factors such as the path taken by the screen cursor, length of button / touch press, and your search history.
If you are hiding or obscuring your online identity, or deleting cookies and browser history, then you are more likely to have problems with captchas.

No nothing has changed at least not in the last months. So I don't understand why these captcha photos are suddenly needed to log in. We have had this in the past when I am on holiday and then log in from another country I can understand this. But not now we log in every day from the same IP for years. Etsy also stores the login details in our account in security. Our cookies have been automatically deleted every day for over 20 years and this has never caused any login problems.
The baddies' methods evolve, so security software evolves.
Browsers and other software are being continuously updated.
Website coding is being continuously updated.
Stop deleting cookies and it may reduce your problems.

Not for me because I have my password saved in order to login automatically. It's faster and easier this way.

What browser are you using?
It is possible that the browser has changed security settings and that is causing your issue.
YES! And it's driving me NUTS. Just spent about 8 minutes trying to get into my store! TRYING to run a business here. Same on three different browsers. Only started happening this last fortnight or so.
