Phantom Order is over due...

To begin, I had a customer contact me with their email confirmation that they ordered. But I have No record of the order email confirmation on my end or order history or canceled order... Nothing. She said her order disappeared from her recent purchases on her end but was indeed billed.

In theory it could be a scam... However,

I seem to have a phantom order. My order count has one more order on the side menu than I actually have in my active orders. Even after fulfilling everything that one order on the side remains. Today I noticed I have an alert for an over due order and when i click it tells me I have no orders. I can't fulfill something I don't have an order for. 

Has anyone had this happen? I am still waiting to hear from support...

Are you viewing via desktop or the app. 

Often, when an order is "pending payment" it won't appear in the app--this is usually when etsy has flagged the buyers payment method as suspicious. 

Have you searched with the order number from the buyer? is it showing up as cancelled?

viewing on Desktop but it's not on mobile either. Nothing is coming up for order number and it has not been cancelled. In my experience it would not count as an over due order if the payment hasn't finished processing as the order isn't technically an order, yet.

@PaperHaunt  , Check your payment account to see if you were paid for this order. If the money is there then ship it. If not then contact etsy, there seem to be  more glitches everyday on the site,

Others have reported this happening in the past couple of weeks, money has been received but no order details. Etsy was made aware of this.

Sellers are only finding out when the customer contacts when either not receiving an order or check their statements and money has been taken

I had this exact same thing happen to me and I called support and they could not find the order number. I wonder if your the other seller my customer had purchased from as well. She sent me a screenshot of the email she had received that confirmed her order but I couldn't see it on my end at all and now I have an overdue order but nothing shows when I click on it.

Something has gone very wrong in the Etsyverse. Most complaints are about features, functions, and policies that people don’t like. This one, however, is a real problem!

It is a glitch, Etsy is working on it. I just had this happen this morning. I received an email notification for an order from a repeat customer however it is not showing up under New orders. I was paid for the order in my payments account and it is showing up on the sidebar in the Orders & Shipping. When I click on the order number I get the 400 error or the Uh Oh page. I went through Etsy chat and they are working on it. Check your emails to see if you can get the order number and send it to Etsy to let them know. I am going through my emails now and comparing them to my current and past order to make sure that it hasn't happened to others.

Just spoke to support, they assured they're aware of it and working on it. I'm on the same boat. Hopefully it resolves soon.
