Permanent suspension?!

So an update to my earlier post, I received a response:

Inconsistencies of account information?? I split up with my husband so obviously have new bank details as no longer using the joint account and a new email address with my maiden name. I have filed an appeal before I got this response so I guess I just have to wait, but I am extremely disillusioned with Etsy. They have my passport ID, my NINO etc, but what, they think I am a scammer or something? I cant find anything in their terms of use about 'inconsistency of account information either, other than their please be honest section about not giving false information, which I have not done.

Has anyone successfully appealed a permanent suspension? It does not feel very nice being banned for doing nothing wrong!

Surely they have dealt with divorced shop owners before. I'd appeal. I would lead with "I am recently divorced and needed to change my info and you suspended my shop!"

I wish I could, now I know the supposed reason, which I didnt at the time of filing my appeal.

Have you ever had a chance to explain things to Etsy?  Have they listened and still suspended you?  

From Etsy's end the changes are probably too much if you have a name change, bank change and email change and their gut reaction is to suspend you.  If you haven't appealed on the above link, I would do so.

I accept the changes may be too much, but to go from closing my shop to then perma banning me is ridiculous. I had to file an appeal without knowing their reason for closing my shop, because they wouldnt tell me what the reason was!

I know, thats why I am so shocked. I understand the need to verify information and so forth, but they didnt tell me why they had closed my shop, they didnt help me find out why, I ended up having to file an appeal without knowing the reason, and they are basically banning me for having to update my details due to separating from my husband. They dont even explain what the 'account inconsistencies' are. I am just really frustrated and saddened that the many months of solid work I put into my shop, is just down the drain, all because I needed to update my personal information.

I appealed before I got this response, on advice from this forum, as support would not tell me why my shop was closed. This is what was in my appeal:

You should approach some of the websites that do articles regarding Etsy. A seller with a reserve placed on their account got a bit of attention and progress with Etsy due to bad press. Maybe someone here remembers what website it was?
