Paypal not available

Wie einige wissen, ist PayPal in einigen Shops, nicht verfügbar, und ich finde es wirklich frustrierend. Ich habe bereits dreimal den Etsy-Support kontaktiert, aber immer nur die gleichen standardisierten Antworten wie „Sie arbeiten daran“ bekommen.

Mich würde interessieren, wie viele von euch mit diesem Problem zu tun haben und wie lange das noch dauern könnte. Hat jemand von euch mehr Infos bekommen oder eine genauere Antwort? Ich frage mich, ob das ein größeres Problem ist oder nur einige von uns betrifft.

Außerdem, wie viele von euch bezahlen regelmäßig mit PayPal? Ich frage mich, ob ich mir unnötig Sorgen mache oder ob das ein verbreitetes Problem ist.

Würde mich über eure Erfahrungen oder Gedanken dazu freuen!

Som of you know that PayPal isn’t available in some shops and I’m finding it really frustrating. I’ve already contacted Etsy support three times, but all I’ve gotten are the same generic responses, like “They’re working on it.”

I’m curious to know how many others are dealing with this issue and how long it might last. Has anyone found any more information or gotten a clearer response? I’m wondering if this is a bigger problem or just something affecting a few of us.

Also, for those who use PayPal, how many of you actually pay with it regularly? I’m starting to wonder if I’m just overthinking this or if it’s a more widespread issue.

Would love to hear other experiences or thoughts on this!

Ich habe gestern zum Versuch eine andere Location eingetragen, nur um zu sehen ob das was an Paypal ändert. Das war der einzige Grund. Nur ein Versuch.

Same here, I doubt the OP is in the US, if they were in the US, they have Paypal since it is part of Etsy payments.

I also noted the "personalization" box is in German? It has Größe.

If in the US, wouldn't it be in English? 

ETA. I noticed 2 production partners and if the OP is actually in the US, why are they using a Printify in Latvia? 
I know there're  Printify places in the USA.

Not sure if Gelato is in the US or not that they have listed from Germany.
Just checked and yes Gelato has places in the USA (in 32 countries in all).
So if the OP is really from the USA, why use a production partner overseas?

Etsy now allows them to use their shipping location rather than just their physical location.  This came up on another thread in the last day or two.

But if their location is showing LA, CA, why do items show shipping from Germany?

Shouldn't the production partner be located in the USA and not overseas?

I also noticed their reply to reviews I assume is in German. 

I'd like to see where Etsy changed this too.

That is misleading if a seller is located in another country and they use a POD in the USA and they can now put their location in the USA.
That's lying IMO. Location is where a sellers lives/sleeps.

I haven't seen any announcement.  Etsy often makes changes without announcing them.  I wish I could remember which thread I was on when it came up.  It was news to me.

Etsy is constantly making changes we don't agree with or like, especially if they think it will increase sales.  So I can fully believe they would do this, with the reasoning since it ships from a location, that is where it is "from."  I, too, would like to see this spelled out somewhere.

Etsy did not change.  The information I still see is the location must be where the buyer is located.

If Etsy does make this change then that is another flaw on Etsy's part and makes me want not to buy here.

If you are located in Germany then PayPal is not active.  It has been this way for some time.

There are sellers who think using US as a location will get them more sales.  This has come up several times in the forums recently.  It's....never mind.  If I write what I think I will be banned.

@PurePeachStudio  Your location should be where you live not where you are shipping from if you use production partners!

Yeah, I agree. I just answer it. I only tested if it would change my paying options. I changed it just yesterday. Bit my question was far away from that

@PurePeachStudio  If you shop showed your real location, I'm sure many would been able to advise you on the solution.

@PurePeachStudio I believe the location displayed on your shop home page is just for customer information. As far as I know it has no effect on your shop's country settings which is related to the country you entered when you first set up your shop and in most cases cannot be changed.

I'm sorry you are still having issues with the availability of PayPal. I don't think any of us sellers knows what's going on. I did hear something about it taking some time for new shops in Europe to get PayPal activated but I can't verify that.
