Payoneer or Etsy? Who Can Solve My Issue??

My shop is on a forced Holiday Mode from Etsy since 2 weeks.

I enrolled in Etsy Payments as it was rolled out to Indian Sellers on the 6th of June, 2024.

As soon as I enrolled into Etsy Payments, I signed into my existing Payoneer Account that I have been using for years on other platforms but this was an 'Individual Account'.

Since Etsy requires a 'Business Account' I opened a new account with Payoneer. They closed my previous account as I can't have 2 accounts simultaneously.

Currently, 13 days later, my Etsy Payments page still shows my old Payoneer account that DOES NOT EXIST with Payoneer anymore. After a lot of back and forth with the Payoneer team, I have been told that they are unable to unlink my old account from Etsy.

Even though, before closing the old account I had specifically asked for all payment sources to be closed/unlinked.

I wrote to Etsy regarding this with screenshots of emails from Payoneer that the ability to change the Payoneer ID on Etsy lies with Etsy.

They wrote to me saying I need to OPEN A NEW SHOP. Opening a new shop is not a viable solution as Etsy is not onboarding new sellers from India.

So, my question is - If Etsy still shows a Payoneer ID that doesn't exist and there is no option to Enroll again with a new, active ID - Which one of the two, Etsy or Payoneer, can help me re-link a new ID?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

From what I have read here,

Etsy won't re-link or de-link anything, it's a one-off thing.

if you can't get payoneer to re-instate your old account and change it to a business account, you can't sell with the etsy account any more.

....

there seems to be a different problem with etsy/payoneer at the moment,

but etsy has never allowed delinking, or linking to a different payoneer account

Recently this happens with one of my friend & he just contacted etsy so they unlink his payoneer account & ask him to re link the new one just email them & tell them i have to unlink the previous one because it's deleted

Unfortunately, this does not work. At least it did not for me.

I have messaged Etsy multiple times to un-link my Payoneer as it is deleted but they are not able to do that.

Hey,

I received a message from Etsy a week ago regarding Etsy payments in India.

Etsy is expanding its Etsy Payments services to India for Indian sellers through Payoneer, which is a good thing.

So now, you will have to open an account on Payoneer and connect it to Etsy to receive payments.

But, in the message it also says, and I'm quoting-

"A quick reminder: As we expand Etsy Payments to India we’re also making changes to domestic sales and India Payments (powered by Razorpay). Starting June 3, you’ll no longer be able to make domestic sales in India, and India Payments will no longer be available."

Does it mean an Indian seller can't sell its products in India through Etsy anymore?

Why is this change I don't understand.

No, it does not mean that.  India purchasers will be able to use Etsy payments.

But it doesn't show after adding an item to the cart. Only the PayPal option is available for Indian buyers.

etsy no more for individual, its pure for business, etsy just marketing handmade from individual but individual can not sell

etsy payment : etsy payment processing fee 6% very high + Regulatory Operating fee + TDS + TCS + payoner fee + bank charges + forex charges

paypal : payapl fee + currency conversion ...... all easy

I have come across many seller complaints here about sales being completely shut down after enrolling in Payoneer. I am one of them. It was alarming to read that one seller is going through it since 4 months. That makes me wonder, is there an Indian seller that has enrolled for ETSY payments to Payoneer and their sales are not disrupted or had being restored? This is give us some hope since ETSY customer service has not been much of a help in providing answers.

Why would you be having a problem since your shop location is the US? US shops don't enroll in Payoneer!

I have corrected that to India. Anyways, on Payoneer, ETSY is shown as a linked marketplace, but the orders are not going through from ETSY.

It seems to me that perhaps my Etsy enrollment and Payoneer haven't been properly connected to Etsy yet because the option to connect Payoneer is still showing on my dashboard,Reach millions of buyers by offering their preferred payment methods.Enrol in Etsy Payments today!,

 there doesn't seem to be any issue from their end because I'm facing this problem with multiple time when i connect. I've also contacted Payoneer support services, and they confirmed that all my processes are complete and approved. Please help me.if my enrollment is complete why is this showing me. Oh dear. there was a problem submitting your order. Please give it another shot. my buyer error show, please help

when i check email there are showing your payoneer account connected and your are enrolled but show do connect payoneer wuth etsy.

This issue is happening with most sellers who enrolled in Etsy payments in last 10 days.

Etsy has still not resolved this issue.

I am facing same issue. My Payoneer showing that the ETSY is connected. Whereas ETSY showing enroll. And when I click on Enroll, I get and error "Try again". No sale after this issue

I don't think Etsy or Payoneer want to resolve the issue. I have been working with Etsy for the last 6 years, making around 4500 sales. They asked me to enroll in Etsy Payments through Payoneer, and I even acquired GST for this purpose. However, my account has been on vacation mode, so I decided to move to Shopify. I don't think anyone will be able to solve this problem. In my opinion, Payoneer is the worst company I have ever used. They closed my account without providing any reason and are unwilling to help or reactivate it. I informed them that I am ready to provide all necessary details or documents, but they keep saying that I have violated their terms and conditions, which is why they closed my account. I have been using the same Payoneer account for the last 7-8 years to receive Amazon merch payments. I suggest anyone who has suffered similarly to look for other solutions as soon as possible.

also same problem with my shop ...... as I think payoneer if fraud company, they not answer any question asked by client, there is no any way to approach to payoneer help center by client - only payoneer contact you and you have to answer all question, payoneer not answer your question, there are only FAQ section on their website........................... etsy said that they have own payment system, so why there is payoneer, its third pary .................... when any sales made on Indian shop ......... etsy convert usd to inr .............. payment send to payoneer again convert inr to usd ........... payoner send to bank again convert usd to inr .............. payoneer and etsy garbing seller profit.

Same thing happened with me. Payoneer in my case told me that etsy will do the needful and Etsy is saying that they can't do anything about it. Better they have solution for this silly problem. Even I had a single shop which is closed because of this issue.

I think to open new account, change email from your old one. after that with existing email create new business payoneer account and check. it might work, not sure but i think it will work.

Iam currently facing the same issue....

There is a lot of  hard work gone on building a shop and so easily etsy suggested i should open a new shop because they cannot unlink old payoneer account. New shop , new SEO, new customers reviews..   building everything from scratch is not a joke....

Currently Iam exploring other etsy alternative....I may or may not sell on etsy again

Etsy does not unlink old payoneer accounts.

you have to work with payoneer, to get the old account the way etsy needs it.

It is payoneer that does all the verification including your linked bank account, and ID checking, etsy doesn't do it, they rely on them to do it all, then etsy matches that to your account details,

Etsy probably won't undo it, because that means you could be transferring the account to someone else, or you are not who you say you are.

so new payoneer account, means new ID checking, so new etsy account.

If Payoneer can't fix their account you linked, and it matches the details you have on etsy, you need to set up a new account, with a payoneer account that does work.

you could also put an announcement on your old shop, to point to your new one, and in the profile section..... and if you have done well here, at least you know how seo and things work here, so it's not completely learning from scratch.

I think opening on another site too, is a great idea, it spreads risk, and accesses an extra buyer pool.

I would look at it as a business decision, and do what is best for your business.

There seems to be a weird problem between Etsy/Payoneer. I have been going back and forth with both Etsy and Payoneer. Esty says to reach out to Payoneer and Payoneer says to contact Etsy. Regarding my former Payoneer account, it was deleted so there is no way I could revive it, and based on the advice I was asked to create a new Payoneer account. The new payoneer account has been verified and matches my details on Etsy but I cannot add it unless the former account is delinked.

Etsy will not delete the link to the payoneer account.

you have to get payoneer to re-instate your previous account

 or set up an new etsy shop, linked to the new payoneer account

that is the way it is

You want to sell on etsy, you need to do what etsy says.
