Hello
Has anyone encountered a similar situation?
Every time a customer makes an order in my store I get a lot of messages from scammers!
Last two times it was orders from my friend and she said Etsy canceled her order
I suppose system automatically cancel order when receiving so much of suspicious activity!
@Juniperswood: Etsy uses third party payment processors and each has its own approval process and post approval fraud detection methodology. It is unlikely that receiving SPAM or scam Messages has any effect on whether a customer's payment goes through. If your shop is a factor in a card decline decision, it is more likely the price point and the fact that your shop is incomplete (no location, about, policies. etc); and presuming that you are in Italy not complying with European Union laws might make payment processors nervous.
Etsy does not have anything to do with processing payments. They have contracted with 3rd part payment processing companies that do it. It has nothing to do with scam messages at all.
Processing payments is the work of the payment processor. They are the ones that check the credit cards. Just because this was a friend does not mean there wasn't a problem with her credit card. In fact she should check her card out. Sometimes this is the way buyers find out there is an issue with their card.

Hello!
Thank you very much for your answer!
I will fix information about shop as you mentioned to see if it works
But there is one moment: the scams attack only when there is an order, the rest of the time I don't receive any messages from them at all!
I was just wondering " what is going on"? First it was, I couldn't upload videos, then I went into this extended "payment processing" scenario, then all the changes Etsy is trying to accomplish. Who really needs to be prepared for Q4? Etsy or the sellers? They seem so overwhelmed and then delisted from the NYSE too. What is the trust level these days among sellers?
They've been removed from the S&P 500 due to under-performance but have not been delisted from the NYSE. You can still see trading info on the nyse website.
Not that it's still not a train wreck dumpster fire.
Hello!

What “extended "payment processing" scenario” are you talking about?!
Fortunately it has been rectified, but I was waiting a considerably long time to receive payment- hours, while at the same time I was being charged Etsy fees which were immediate. This made no sense to me. I don't think it's any one particular thing, because it usually gets looked into, but collectively and in swarms - so to speak, it characterizes Etsy as reactive rather than proactive. IMO when you couple that with the live chat, which says "we'll be with you in less than one minute" but it ends up being much longer, there's a little bit of an issue. The live chat I think took 6-7 minutes, which is better than not at all as I have heard, but doesn't hit their stated goal. They should just say that it might be ... a range of time for example, and make it based on data driven actual times. Then try to whittle that down.
