SCAM.

When you get a REAL sale, it will appear on your shop dashboard, and the money will appear in your shop payment account.  Buyers NEVER need your email to complete an order.

They are targeting new shops, Etsy already has your email so would never ask for it.

There are several scams going around at the moment, never send any information, never click on any links and it is best to set up 2FA on your account

Hi, I just received this same message, December 29, 2024. Does this mean my account has been hacked? How do they get the access to appear like they are using my account?

@IvorysEssentialsWS As a new seller, you will probably get scam messages.  Your account hasn't been hacked.  Did you click on any links in that message?

@IvorysEssentialsWS: This does not mean you have been hacked. New shops (and particularly incomplete shops like yours - no location, about, policies, etc) are prime targets for scammers.

I clicked on the email message that was from @mail.etsy.com but the link is the scam.

@IvorysEssentialsWS: Is the eMail you are referring to an actual eMail from Etsy or just the eMail copy of an Etsy Message?
