PayPal Not Available as Payment Option in My Shop 😢

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out to see if anyone has experienced and resolved a similar issue. In my shop, PayPal is currently not available as a payment option for customers. Unfortunately, I’ve tried reaching out to customer service but haven’t gotten any help so far. They say everything is properly set up in my shop.

I have many listings to upload, but I’m waiting for my shop to function properly before moving forward.

If you’ve encountered this problem and found a way to fix it, I’d really appreciate it if you could share what worked for you. Or, if someone from the Etsy team can help me with this issue, that would be AMAZING.

Thank you for your reply! According to the Etsy support team, my shop is fully set up.

Paypal is greyed out but I don't know why and I can't see where you are located to give any meaningful explanation.

Be careful that you are not receiving scam messages about buyers pretending they cannot pay.  This is a common scam and they target new shops.  Your buyers can always checkout using the other payment options which are available in your shop.  Do not take any sales off Etsy or you will surely get scammed.

I have the same issue in Germany. This is what Etsy support told me via Chat: "There is some issue from the paypal's end and we are actively working with paypal to resolve this so the paypal can be offered to the paypal. In the meantime, we recommend suggesting that your buyer choose another payment option offered at checkout."

This is very disappointing. Paypal is very important in Germany
