I have contacted Etsy on the phone but they said there is no way to find out the status of the request from a month ago.
My issue is that I started my Pattern shop a month ago but it won’t go live. When I click to view my site it says the server can’t be found. When I type the web address into the address bar, same thing. My domain name is paid so I don’t know what else it could be.
Etsy has sort of abandoned Pattern, from what I read in the forum.
Maybe try a real website instead?
Etsy has provided no support for Pattern in a very long time.
Run very fast from Pattern.
Whatever happens with your Etsy storefront will also apply to your Pattern. So if you get caught in the net of a takedown, suspension or site glitch in verifying something, your pattern also goes down. At least that's my understanding.
I had it for a hot minute and it's so dull and featureless, I ditched it and got a regular standalone at Shopify.
The advanage, beyond the obvious, is that you can sell there what you might not be willing or able to sell here...specifically, items over 250.00 if you have any of those.
Pattern is kinda like putting lipstick on a pig and expecting it to win a beauty contest.
A pig is a pig no matter what you do to dress it up.
@kimoharaclaydesigns: Not discounting an Etsy glitch (and as has been mentioned Etsy seems to have, for all practical purposes, abandoned Pattern) but have you confirmed that the 'A Record' with your domain registrar has been correctly configured to point to your Pattern site?

Thanks for answering.
I was JUST creating a Pattern page and noticed how weird it is to work with. I'm so glad I found this thread, thank you!!

Not sure what that means but I’m going to stop my pattern subscription. Thanks for answering.
This is the problem that I am having also. I paid and opened my Pattern shop on Oct. 31, 2024. And, they charged me twice in 2 days. There's another $30 down the drain. Plus all the other add-ons. Getting my own website URL name, etc. Last time I heard from them they said that I needed an SSL certificate. Went to Hover / Tuscow and they said this is something that Etsy should have given me. Tried to contact them...crickets. No reply. Totally frustrated. Looks like I'm going to have to transfer to another venue all together. Who else has this problem?
Everyone should add their shop name if this is happening to you.
Signed,
Pissed Off Again!
Well I just submitted a contact with Etsy support ticket. I told them I'll wait til Monday. If I get no answer I'm moving on. This is no way to run a business. Anyone using Wix, Shopify or another venue? Let me know "if" any are worth using.
So, as I said in the post above. I submitted a ticket for help. Just looked at my email and guess what? They sent me the same exact answer (word for word) as their previous email. You need an SSL certificate. THAT'S IT! Bye Bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
