I received a message when logging into my other Etsy shop saying I needed to reset the password and an email would be sent with a link to reset it. For some time now I haven't received the automatic emails when you make a sale or when they are transferring funds etc so yes, you've guessed it, I didn't receive the email with the password reset link. I have opened a ticket and I received a message where I had security questions to answer, then I received another email with more security questions. I've answered these and I'm now just waiting for someone to respond. It has been 2 days and I can't log into my shop. My shop is still open and I'm worried I'm getting messages that I can't respond to.
Does anyone have any idea how long this will take? I see from other threads that this is a known issue.....what are Etsy doing to resolve it?
That message might have been a scam. My shop has been open since 2011 and I have never received a message like that. Can you still log into your shop?

It was a notification box that popped up on my screen that said I had to reset my password and I would receive an email with a link to do this. It was definitely not a scam....it wasn't a message in my etsy messages, it was a notification. I can't get any further or log into my account. I have had this shop since 2011, I am a star seller with a lot of sales. I went to log into my shop as usual and this "reset my password" notification popped up. I haven't received the email and I can't log into my shop. It is awful and I have done nothing wrong....I feel my shop is gone.
@simplypstationery Did Etsy say they suspected security issue. That is normally what the email says.
If not chances are that the attempt was a scam.
Have you run your anti-virus? It is also possible you have keylogging on your device by which hackers can get your keystrokes for stealing your password.

I am an "old" seller (BrocantenFrance.etsy.com Top seller) and this is the first time I have encountered this problem.
I contacted the Etsy help center which asks you, in fact, to answer multiple security questions but no answer...
I have several packages to ship today (deadline) and since I will not be able to notify my buyers on time, I will lose my "Top Seller" status. I cannot track my many other packages and cannot list any items.... In short, I can't work like you and Etsy remains silent. What to do ???
I managed to connect to this forum by "going" through my son's store, otherwise impossible through my own store....
If anyone has an answer for this type of problem, please let us know.

I had this issue last night trying to log into my Amazon account..was not getting the security code. Turns out I had blocked their number on my phone. They probably sent me some spam message and I just blocked them without opening it. Check your phone settings and blocked numbers. Not sure how you will know which number. I called Amazon and they told me what number to look for and unblock. Good luck on Etsy!

I'm sorry that this has happened to you too. Like you I am an old seller, I have had my shop since 2011 and I am a star seller. I have contacted Etsy and I got an initial response, but nothing now for 3 days. This is a total disaster. Etsy say we need to respond to our buyers and provide good customer service - but where is theirs?!!!
I did a search for my shop and it is still active on Etsy but I don't think I am selling anything....however I did notice in the search that Etsy are still showing my ads.....so they are still taking my ad money but I have no income from it.
Please let me know via this thread if you get access to your shop again. I will keep you informed about mine.

Was the initial message in the Etsy Message folder/category in your messages? If not - it may be a scam.

Update:
I still can't log into my shop and still no response from Etsy. I managed to get a call back from Etsy last night but the woman I spoke to couldn't help me. I sell digital templates and orders are still going through my shop but because I'm not logged in, the orders aren't going through to the template platform and so buyers are paying for a product that they are not receiving. I have no way of contacting buyers and I see that I am now starting to get 1 star reviews on my shop. When I do get access again, I will have to issue refunds and this will cost my a lot of money. This is my livelihood and I'm devastated. Can any of the Etsy admins help me? @t2afc8tpmxcuf4b8
