Only way for buyers to see VAT on items in cart is to log into PayPal.

And then PayPal reserves the sum until you complete the purchase...

I am now $200 short because all I wanted was to see the VAT included. This has never been an issue before.

And to make things clear:

No, I never completed the sale.

No, it is not shown at PayPal as a transaction, but they are acknowledging they have "preauthorized a purchase" which is BS, since all I did was log into PayPal from Etsy and returned to Etsy to preview the order, never completing it.

Perhaps about time for Etsy to actually show the damned VAT included in the price in the cart? It's not like they don't know my location so why can't they just show VAT? eBay does it. Amazon does it.

Now I have to wait several days for this preauthorization to run out so I can have my money returned, meaning I have less money to use for other things until when I actually wanted to make my purchase.
