Pale Orange Circle with the Number One Beside Finances in Shop Manager

Not sure if this is a Technical Issue or a Financial Issue.  Under Shop Manager, Beside Finance> there is a pale orange circle with the number one.  Clicking on the circle takes me nowhere and the various categories under Finance don't appear to have any problems or notifications.  Does anyone know what this is or means and what, if anything, I need to do.

yeh-if you click on it you should see in yours finances section " NEW-etsy turbo tax!" just click that and it goes away

I just had this too. I clicked every option in the finance bit to figure it out. None of mine said 'new' or any indication it was what the notification was for. It went away once I clicked on TurboTax for etsy. It will take you to intuits site but just go back and you will be back in shop manager and the notification will be gone.

@WitticismsRus  @QuirkyAntiquesStore   Thank you for the info.  I don't seem to have mention of Turbotax anywhere.  Maybe it isn't offered to Canadians.  In any event, it appears to be nothing to worry about so I'll just ignore it and hope it goes away on its' own.

Thanks, just tried it and it made my orange circle go away. I had checked everything else.

It's to highlight the new 'Turbo Tax for Etsy' information.  You don't need to do a thing...

did you even click on it?? most of the time here if you just check it out-- the little orange circle goes away.. it is just a notification-- certainly not a big deal.

I clicked on everything, I've clicked on the Turbo tax link twice, still have the circle.

ETA must be delayed, I refreshed the page, again, and it finally went away.

gave me a momentary heart attack.  got the turbo tax page too.  it knew I was in Canada and offered to take me to the Canada site.  I did not.

I did click thru to the Canadian site, but we do not get the 50% off deal like USA sellers do.

I don't need to update 1099 info but can't get rid of the orange dot.

OK, so I got 2 notifications and had to click out of the Turbo Tax one as well.

I got that dot as well after I made a sale today.  Glad I was able to get rid of it.

It means there is some kind of new information in Finances. Mine gets stuck sometimes for months before it goes away. I just ignore it.

I have used Turbo Tax to do my taxes for about 10 years and highly recommend them. If you use Etsy's link you can get 50% off the price. And all your Etsy cvs info will import directly into them for you.

This would be a great help. I too have used Turbo Tax for just over 10 years. I usually buy the CD, or download the program, this way my kids can use too. I purchase the Home and Business Edition. Have you tried this one? Can you download TurboTax, or do you only have the one time use online?

I looked around...nothing says Turbo Tax on mine. Can't get rid of the highlighted 1. I'm in Canada. ....checked again and suddenly it was there. Well, mystery solved. Just 'same time' post hiccup

Thanks to all for the replies.  The Turbo Tax link eventually showed up for me and I was able to get rid of the orange circle.  In my case the orange circle appeared well before the link.  It just had me somewhat concerned that I hadn't done something I needed to do or that I had done something I shouldn't have done.

If you click on the turbo tax notification your your dashboard in the "your shop's checklist" , it will take you to their page. Then that notification SHOULD be gone.

That is how I got mine to disappear.
