PDF Invoices, Balances Issues

Hi,

When I select Print to download a transaction to add it to my accountancy, and the transaction was made to Japan, the characters do not print out well. So I have to do a lot of work to edit the invoice that it's not printed out correctly from your end.

Could you do something about this? It should be just a matter of selecting a font which allows all characters of different languages. We should be able to download and use invoices effortlessly through the platform.

etsy isn't here, we are just other sellers,

you need to log a ticket with etsy - community and help - contact us, keep gong until you get to "I still need help"

....

just a note, etsy doesn't produce invoices, just order receipts, if you need invoices, you have to create them yourself

@eurocurated  : PDFs and fonts are almost always a local issue - you need to make sure that your device has the appropriate fonts installed. Unless every font is embedded into the PDF (which makes it huge) there is no way to guarantee that the document will always display correctly.

I think you’re confusing the structure of pdf’s. They’re not dependent on installed fonts on your machine. They are standalone and would display the fonts with which were created. Other platforms export japanese characters without problems on pdf’s. It’s your font of option that doesn’t have those characters. Anyway I understand this isn’t the place will escalate. Cheers

You could translate and add that to a pdf version of the order.

If you are talking about printing out the packaging slip, have you tried changing the language to 日本語？

Even if the Japanese characters are displayed well, you'll see that the price calculation is wrong. So we still need to make the packaging slip manually. Please report this trouble to Etsy. (I did, they aware of it but they don't move yet)   I hope Etsy takes action to fix this issue
