Orders shipped on time, but Etsy marking late

All my orders are being shipped on time, well before Etsy’s ship by date, but they are being marked as late.  My shipping window is 3-5 business days and I shipped within those parameters.  

I had a customer place an order on January 22 and I shipped out the SAME DAY and Etsy marked it as late.  

I tried to reach out customer service and they were no help.  They provided the CSV and basically said this is our information and it’s accurate.  When I questioned them about the January 22 order they avoided the question and referred me to this forum.  I checked other posts and couldn’t find the solution, can anyone help?

Are you marking those orders as complete/shipped?
If you don't do this, then Etsy has no idea if you shipped on time or not.

ETA I see your in Canada so not sure if you use tracking but if you do you need to mark orders as complete and add the tracking #.
If you don't use tracking YOU still have to mark those items as complete so that Etsy will know you did ship them.

I have a sale that I entered tracking info on but under star seller it says its late?

I don’t use tracking since tracked shipping is expensive and costs more than the item I’m selling.  It is letter mail and once I drop off at Canada Post I mark the order as complete and send a message to seller with picture of package with stamp.  I do this for every order and some are marked on time and others late.

You need to check the applicable CSV file on your Star Seller page to see what Etsy thinks is late or otherwise has something wrong with it. In particular make sure that *Had processing time?* = yes, *Ship by* has a date, *Tracking/label date* has a date, and *Shipped on time?* = yes. Remember that Star Seller dates / times are in UTC not your time zone.

Is the *Tracking/label date* equal to or before the *Ship by* date?

Are you using tracked packages? Did you enter the tracking within that window?

The CSV will tell you "no" if either the package is late, or Etsy doesn't recognize the tracking you entered.

Are you using Etsy labels?  Are you taking to the post office the same day as the date marked for shipping?   Is the post office accepting the package and marking it accepted and in transit the day of the label?

If you do not use Etsy labels are you immediately filling in the tracking with hours of taking the package to the post office?  You cannot wait to fill that information in.

Are you using a shipper not recognized by Etsy.  Etsy uses Aftership.

As to the same day, at what time frame did you create the label and take to the post office?  Was it late in the day?  Is it possible that package did not get scanned until after 12 midnight?   I know others have complained of this happening but I have not experienced it the few times I shipped before my processing time frame.

I don't understand why Chat sends people here,  There is nothing we can do and sometimes we cannot even explain why  something happened.

All the dates are visible and processing time = yes.  I understand the UTC, however the orders were shipped well before the “ship by date” or my set 3-5 business day shipping.  One of the orders marked as late was shipped & marked completed the same day the customer ordered it, but Etsy marked it as late.  
If many sellers are having the similar issue, maybe Etsy needs to find a solution yet there is no one to reach out to and customer service was no help.
