Order not showing the correct product

I have a shop selling digital products. A customer bought one of my products. In the sales notification that I got it shows customer buying product X. but in the list of products in my etsy ads dashboard it doesnt show that this product has received an order. instead it shows that a different product (let's call this product Y) has received an order. 

however, in all the different areas where it shows if products have orders, like the listings page with stats enabled, it shows 1 order for product X and 0 orders for product Y.

I have received no complaints from the customer so I assume they got the correct digital file, but for my own sanity and shop optimization I would like to know if this is a technical issue or if this is how it shows that the customer arrived at the product via the ad for product Y and then ended up purchasing product X.

The "orders from Ads" attributes an order to the ad they clicked on, which is not always the same thing they bought.

i.e. Ad for Y was clicked on, they ordered X, Ad Y brought the order, so you got an order for X from Ad Y.
